I might as well have waited until Anna had won 6-4 6-3 :)

Goes to 16 point. A QF win would take her to 18, level on points with Fran Stephenson, the current GB no 19, inside the top 800.

looking at the draw, it's quite weak and based on form should make semi final where she is likely to come up against the second seed who she beat comfortably last week.

Sounds good. Might as well just win the tournnament, miss out the 800s, move into the world 700s on Monday week and a few further places up the GB rankings.

Re my previous post, I was confusing myself or just not keeping up with Anna's rise.

I think that this is rather more accurate :

With last week's SF 4 points, Anna will be up 14 points on Monday, approximately WR 856.

A QF win today would take her up to 18 points and almost certainly into the top 800 on Monday week.

However, if she was to win the whole thing, she would move up to 26 points on Monday week, inside the top 700, i.e. it would be the 700s that she would miss out totally, not the 800s.

Err, Anna wins 6-1 6-0 to just about make it through to her first senior final.

I kind of wish she'd behave. She was already my wildcard provisional GB top 10 prediction that I'd written down. Less of this yelling out an alert to other folk !
