Come on Dan! I think a win here would take him back to the top 300(?) he deserves to be there, he's a capable player in my opinion and works hard too.

Dan should be a role model to younger players - not got the greatest ability but he assets he does have he utilises well, and he wants it.
It really is inspiring and great to see him playing so well!!

Well done to Dan. There's been quite a number of British players that have fought really well and made great comebacks during the year ( I think at least a good share ). But that was a bit OTT and great to see :)

Yes, should take Dan back into the top 300 if he wins the title.

He would go up to 164 points. Currently WR 295 is on 164 and WR 300 is on 162 ( Evo is currently WR 298 on 162 points ).

It would be something from their year to see all three of our Dans end the year inside the top 300, and let's hope for much less compromised years ahead for Dan E and Dan S. All three have been quite a bit higher, particularly Evo, and can be again.

Adding in currently above them, Andy, James, Kyle, Liam, Ed and Brydan, that will hopefully have us ending the year with 9 players in the top 300, with good prospects for most of them to be moving forward.

For all my elsewhere declared concerns about who is coming behind them, that is as healthy looking at that level as it must have been in a fairly long while, and they should make 2015 a really interesting year to follow.

Their 4th together but Scott has won a 5th title with another partner as well.

He's now 4-0 up in the 2nd - brilliant so far, I thought he was going to find it tough against Bossel!

What a way to finish off a player he had a 0-3 H2H against - Dan wins his 13th Futures singles title

FINAL: (3) Dan Cox WR 319 beat (5) Adrien Bossel (SUI) WR 344 (CH 317 in 2012) by 4 & 0

Good win to end a relatively good year for Dan. Hopefully next year he can cement himself in the top 250 and have a go at cracking the top 200 at some point.

His parents have flown over for a holiday while he was there so I presume it was always planned.

He withdrew very late in the week so I assume the plan was to play next week if he had gone out in the early rounds this week but not otherwise.
