I'm really happy about this news. I think that Lendl was instrumental in Andy winning his first two majors, and I hope that their reunion will result in him winning a few more.

I was open minded about Amelie, but she she didn't give him that x-factor. I felt he saw her as more of a listening ear than a taskmaster. I saw Lendl's potential from the start. I only hope that Mendl mark 2 lives up to my/our expectations.

Just been reading that Jamie D will remain as the full time coach but that Lendl will commit to approx 20 weeks per year with Andy, to include Slams, key training blocks and some Masters events.

Good, the best I could previously imagine was that sometime Andy could integrate Ivan again for important periods of the year, but there was little chance that he would be anything like a full tine coach. And it would then just be about integrating him again with the team.

20 weeks as described - I'll take that !

Cautiously optimistic. Intrigued that the decision was taken after the French. And feeling that the time away with others + reconnecting with Mr Lendl may be even better than having gone straight through with one person.

Whatever else this must be a helpful vote of confidence. Ivan Lendl does not strike me as someone who is prepared to engage if he doesn't think you're ready to win the biggest prizes.
