What a shame. But it says a lot about where he has got to recently, when we are disappointed by Liam losing in a 3rd set breaker to the WR 79.
Of course, it doesn't help when you have played "three of the worst sets of tennis in the world". His quote, not mine (after going 4-6* down in that breaker). I happen to disagree with him but understand the frustration.
disappointing to lose after having served for it of course (and presumeably last match of the season for Liam) but so many positives to take from the last 4 weeks and encouragement going into next season.
Really nice that now I truly believe that we have got at least 4 players capable of winning challengers next season - and even better that the ATP have started streaming so many of the events :)
Pity, so close. Couldn't get his nose ahead in the TB. After losing the first point on serve, twice pulled back the minibreak and got the points back level only to drop his second service point of the two. And couldn't pull it back a third time.
Says so much about his progress and where he wants to be at that he was so frustrated at the end.
Yes, he may be disappointed - but it's been a phenomenal gain in the past six months. Well done to Mr Broady ... and may the disappointment and realisation that he can win such matches spur him on
