Manisha and french partner won their doubles, 6-2 6-4, so two matches out of three today ain't bad . . .

 

But Mirabelle and Swiss partner lost theirs 7-5 6-1

Pity, just one net ranking point added to Manisha's score - there is good ( mainly good ) in having a full 16 counters but a slight bad ( in that you can't add full counts ).

Yes, exactly. And the other problem for her is that she has two quarter-finals coming off in December. But they were the 'old' quarter-finals when they were worth 4 points, and her new QFs are going on at 2 points. So it's difficult to defend . . .
