Here we go ...

Very good from Cav. I believe I predicted that result since it comes under "anything" :)

Cav pushing closer to the top 500, on 52 points. One more win would take her to 56, equivalent to the current WR 500.

She is also "in running" back in the GB top 10 for Monday week, ahead of Harriet currently on 50 points ( Anna Smith has points coming off on Monday week and will leave the top 500 / GB top 10 ).

The real significance of the rankings on Monday week is that they will determines the 2014 Ranking predictions results wink (not that anyone predicted Cav, but her rise will push someone else out).

I had a peek at the standings yesterday and there is just 1 point separating the top 3 for the female predictions so this weeks results could decide the winner............

Sim, this is worse than the Oscars - you're killing us smile

NB Beth has had a very good few weeks - some encouraging results coming from nowhere in particular. (Although, yes, shame for Eden).

Katie wins 9 breaks to 8, completing a good win against a player who beat her in Woking earlier this year

No R2 opponents decided yet and the other Brits play n/b 14.30 GMT, so it seems like a good time to summarise the story so far:

L32: (WC) Sarah Beth Askew WR 1244 beat (Q) Eden Silva WR 710 by 4 & 1
L32: Emily Webley-Smith WR 346 beat Alice Balducci (ITA) WR 472 (CH 361 in May) by 1 & 1
L32: Katie Boulter WR 411 beat Justyna Jegiolka (POL) WR 336 (CH 298 last month) by 6-4 5-7 6-4
L32: (WC) Naomi Cavaday WR 606 beat Tara Moore WR 324 by 5 & 3
L32: Katy Dunne WR 307 beat (Q) Nikola Vajdova (SVK) WR 732 (CH 474 in 2008) by 6-1 4-6 6-0

5 through - 1 more guaranteed and Freya and Harriet to play as well.

I suspect we have not had that many through to the second round of a 25K for a good year or two

If you mean 6 in R2 at a single 25K, then probably Woking last year - Tara in the Final, Lisa in the semis and Jessica S, Manisha, Sophie & Katie in R2.

Samantha was the runner-up in Granby (also a 25K) that week as well, while Jade and Naomi B reached R2 there too.
