Lucy Brown has retired from her match at Bath. Hope she's OK.

Eden won the first set 6-2. But a break down in the second.

Jasmine into a TB with the third seed.

Manisha and Freya in a tight first set, as expected.

 

Add: Close for Jess S but she loses the first set 6-4

And Jasmine gets the TB 7-5 !! (against the WR 555 or so)

Jasmine is really fighting for this one. After winning the 1st set tie break she went 2-0 up in the 2nd only to be pulled back to 2-2 however she has now broken again for *4-3

If Jess could hold serve she'd be away and clear, been a break up 3 times in this set, now serving for it at *5-4

Pretty shocking how low Dentoni has fallen, but hopefully Jasmine can take advantage. Trading more breaks to leave her serving for the match at *5-4

Manisha 7-6(4) *1-1

Ellie-Rose struggling as you would expect against Bonic 1-6 0-2* down

Jasmine again lost her service but immediately broke back and is now serving for the match.

Serving for a career best ranking scalp too - Dentoni is WR 552 this week, Jasmine's previous best scalp was another Italian, Rosatello WR 564. in Loughborough last year. No doubt this won't be easy ...

Jasmine won. All the scoreboards are sticking around match point for some reason, and then eventually updating a few minutes later.

She's done it

FQR: Jasmine Amber Asghar UNR beat (q3) Corinna Dentoni (ITA) WR 555* (CH 132 in 2009) by 7-6(5) 7-6(4)
* last week's ranking being used for qualifying - now WR 552 for scalp purposes

This also means that she won't come off the rankings a week after she joins them (the first of her 3 counters, last year's Loughborough SF, is due to come off on 17 Nov, but this score will replace it)
