Yes, great to see all these challengers results this week here and elsewhere with hopefully more to come. It is proving a really good end to the year. Well done, all !

It's a typo should be a D, he's an American after all, very patriotic and named after what has made America great, a fast food chain strictly off limits to aspiring elite tennis pros. Not close to being funny I think it's just all the talk of super healthy eating for success and the time in the morning has made me crave a Denny's breakfast followed by 18 holes of golf three pints of cold larger and an in and out burger. Great to see Liam and Marcus marching on.
Seriously hopeful that Liam and Kyle seen the back of the ITF tour which is a serious milestone in making that transition from elite juniors to regular ATP and 5 set tennis by the time they are 22. That said Wardy's performance has be an inspiration, and our cohort of 24-25 year olds with a killer Murray esq training block can probably now see a path out of the ITF challenger qualifying grind to the next level.
I seriously feel 2014 has been a great year for development and recuperation of uk men's singles tennis, it has unfolded slowly like a good book, a good Davis cup run followed Kylie's early ITF dominance and transition to Challengers. Initially going deep into tournaments then a wobble and now an adjustment to get back on track.
Liam's season is analogous with a high quality test match 1st innings, the ITF US grind was a pleasure, bit like an attritional opening bat laying the foundations and then coming back to the US as a hard hitting middle order first establishing himself on the challenger tour and then finishing off the innings like an explosive all rounder driving deep into the final rounds hopefully. As you can tell I'm not really a fan of the IPL or big bash. James has gone from strength to strength and is looking like he may well be a genuine ATP elite touring pro in 2015. The only niggle has been OG let's hope his break from tennis and the overt success and giant strides of his contemporaries over the latter half if the season has put some fire in his belly.
Hmm. I didn't enter officially - but had Mr Willis as my joint #10 (with Mr Smethurst and Mr Hewitt) at 350 ... has he now guaranteed that? Did get Mr Broady into my top 10, but had severely underestimated how well he'd do. Delighted that he (and several others) have done much better than I'd predicted. As various people have said, overall it's been a good year.

I understand that there are two weeks left in the prediction stakes, Bob. And Liam and Marcus ( I think ) are down for challengers next week. Because of the week's delay in adding futures points, it is these players who currently are on their last week.
As to who will make the top 10, I'd say that 9 places are taken and that it is between Alex, Dave and Marcus for the last slot in the 10 ( and hopefully if Marcus makes the top 10, he get even higher up than 10th ).
Current positions for Monday week :
Alex : 128
Dave : 133 + ( 3* - 15 ) = 121
Marcus : 111 + ( 10* - 1 ) = 120 + next week if in challenger
* = points so far this week.
Yes, pretty sure I too missed out Liam totally. Out so much generally that I am a bit surprised that I am currently second, but I guess we are all demonstrating how tough a prediction contest it was. Seems a good format though, and if we stick with it it will be very tough again for 2015.
Both the men's and women's contests certainly still have late potential for significant world and GB ranking movements.
