My internet speed tonight is making it very difficult to watch. From what I have seen, both players are hitting the ball well and the standard is excellent. No breaks so far but both players having to work hard to hold.
On a few occasions at important moments on the Millman serve, Kyle has gone for the big return winner but it hasn't worked. Very hard to be critical though given that he is trying to be positive and generally is playing exceptionally well.
Oh dear. That net cord again. A big forehand from Millman on the first point sets the tone for the game and is followed by a forehand error from Kyle.
At 0-30, Kyle gets a net cord, but instead of dropping dead, it bounces up high enough for Millman to race in for an easy winner. Another forehand error and Millman breaks to love.
Sadly not to be. The Milkman delivers again winning 6-4 6-3. He is seriously under ranked and made very few errors.
The real difference between them was the Millman just played the big points that bit better. But given Kyle's recent form, I thought he played very well today but just came up against a quality opponent.
So the wait for an all GB overseas Challenger final goes on.
Sorry everyone, but Saville and Statham are still early in the 1st set so I am not going to wait up for Wardy. Just have to hope that I wake up to some good news.
