Kyle goes 3-0* up. So much more consistent on the ball striking and so much more patient on the point construction. This has been a terrific performance so far. Just got to see it through now. Vamos.
No need as Kyle breaks again to seal an emphatic 6-2 6-2 win. That was as good as it gets. Kyle controlled the match from start to finish as much as he controlled the majority of the rallies.
Those points should take Kyle back up to the mid 220s. Another win would see him very close to his CH. Can he do a Liam this week ? On today's form, there is no reason why not.

With the other seed knocked out in Kyle's section, his next opponent will probably be John Millman (note spelling!) who plays Chinese qualifier, Yan Bai, in R2. As we know, he is a very good player and under-ranked. So if Millman gets through, it is not going to be an easy QF for Kyle. But it is a Challenger, so it isn't meant to be easy.
