My live feed is so poor now, I would consider going to bed other than for the Karaoke from the bar / restaurant right outside my apartment. What a horrible noise.
Think it is payback for me stealing their WIFI signal whenever my internet goes down, which happens a lot.
Wardy converts his 4th BP in the opening game as the occasionally brilliant but often erratic forehand of his opponent goes awol. Mitchell had 4 forehand errors in that game whilst Wardy served up his best shot so far - a sumptuous backhand cross court passing shot.
That opening hold seems to have given Wardy new found confidence and he is looking much more in control now. Twice serving out wide to the deuce court and hitting winners to the open side on the 3rd shot of the rally. Then finishes up with an ace for a love hold.
Agree totally with Golden Boy. After a staccato 1st set, James played a really solid 2nd whilst Mitchell was as erratic as he had been all the way through.
Millman will be tough in the final, but his rallying style may suit James more. Mitchell tried to hit a lot of winners early and that made it difficult for Wardy to get into any kind of rhythm early on. But as the match wore on, James took complete control. I think there will be a lot of long rallies in the final and that should be to Wardy's advantage.
