What the betting that Dominique Covington qualifies again and then loses in the first round?

If she gets that far I shall be rooting for her.   I would just love to see her get a point - she has tried SO many times.

Rachel Porter is a new name to me, but she qualified after Margot retired.

Megan has just dropped the tie breaker.

She's down to play at Taunton in the TOur event tomorrow (Wednesday) so I guess she's not feeling too confident either cry

Nice fight back from Megan Rogers to take the second set against the Japanese player.

Megan is from New Zealand, isn't she ? Just born there ? Or grew up there and learned her tennis there ? Does anyone know ?

Her ranking is from NZ, so I would suggest she has played down there recently.

She just managed to serve 4 consecutive double faults to be broken from 40-0 up at *1-0 in the third, taking her total to 20.

Steadies the ship and now leads 3-1*

Breaks from 0-40* for *4-1

Had a point for 5-1* at 40-30, but 4 doubles in the game mean she loses her serve. 50% of her lost service points have been double faults. That's insane.

Breaks to love for *5-2

And not a double fault in sight as she serves out for a very good 67(4) 64 62 win.

Lovely achievement for Megan, two very tough three setters over foreign opposition to qualify for a $10k for the first time.

Natasha takes the first set 6-3 over Boncic.

Ceire was up an early break on Boeykens, who missed a large chunk of this year with injury and has struggled since her return, but has just been broken back, 3-2*.

A story could be brewing, as Natasha Hillyer takes the first set off WR 493, Bonic. 6-3

Bonic would be the 5th seed in the main draw (or better if anyone high up has withdrawn) if she qualifies. Let's hope Natasha can keep this up!

The 4 GB qualifiers so far have all qualified for a 10K for the first time. To be exact, Megan has notionally qualified in Sharm el Sheikh a couple of times, but without having had to win a match in either case.

Bonic is now fighting back - 6-3 0-3 0-30 from Natasha's point of view

Bonic was very strong after that first set, and won 3-6 6-0 6-2
Charlie Pearce beat Nicola George 4 & 2
Ceire Mullins lost to Boeykens 4 & 0

Just one result outstanding, Alannah is currently leading Dommie, 5-3*

Mullins missed several game points for 5-4* and completely fell away.
