Added what I assume will be the last batch of names as most freshmen should now be either in the States or on their way over. In a month or so I'll update the list of who is actually in the Div 1 schools (as it's really only Div 1 players who consider moving on to tennis after graduation).
Excited for this new batch. After the recent success of Lloyd Glasspool and Farris Gosea looking a prospect, I'm excited to track the progress of our US College players in the coming year.
The new rankings are up, and there are GB players involved (though I may have missed some - as it's just based on memories of seeing people's names on lists ... and I don't remember all the names):
Singles (M)
15 Cameron Norrie
40 Ben Lott
58 Andrew Watson
59 Jack Findel-Hawkins
78 Samm Butler
99 Simon Pritchard
118 Thomas Colautti
Very interesting article about soccer scholarships to the US - never realised quite how many there are, how many Brits go, and how lucrative it all is.
Not tennis-specific, but related in a round about way....

There is a new national competition in college tennis - The Oracle Masters in Malibu, California. It is for the top-ranked 16 players, male and female and the top 8 ranked doubles teams. The only Brit involved is Cameron Norrie, TCU, and he has reached the final. This will be streamed on Tennis Channel tonight at 12.30pm PT (which I think is 10.30pm UK time).
Interesting to see he has also been joined at TCU by a similarly quality freshman indigenous but top 20 junior ITF, looks like TCU are developing into a powerhouse soon to rival the Sooners and Cavaliers. Their schedule is also a nice mix of local ITFs and challengers in the Autumn season.

ITA all Americans next week,
Andrew Watson(2) and Jack Findel-Hawkins (3) seeded to get through qualifying, Ryan Peniston and Alex Sendegaya in with No1 seed. A Mr Cash (Oklahoma state) also in the mix.
And the British women in the All American qualies are Sabrina Federici (Texas Tech), Sophie Watts (Fresno) and Daneika Borthwick (Florida State). Daneika is in her 5th year at Florida but did not play as a freshman (no idea why not) and so is still in her 4th year of eligibility, presumably whilst doing a year of grad school.
