Just noticed that Mr Norrie + and Mr Glasspool + play each other in the doubles ... meaning that one of them will become the first male Brit since Mr Inglot in 2009 to be "All-American" in both singles and doubles in the same year.
Thanks for this, DWH. Hadn't seen Mr Glasspool play before, and only seen Mr Norrie very briefly. Lots of good points to both. Have to say, though, that I did a little non-Brit watching, too - Carol Zhao and Noah Rubin hugely impressive.

No problem
Lloyd lost in 3 sets and Cam won in 3 sets.
Now up against each other in the doubles on Court 3
And it's Mr Glasspool who is the double "All-American." Rather glad, as he's finishing up this year, isn't he? Mr Norrie has (assuming he continues in education) many more chances.
Big shout out to Lloyd for being a double All American. That's seen as a massive achievement in college tennis. And yes, it is his last year, so hopefully we will see him on the tour soon.
Didn't catch the matches and have not seen either of these men play but glad to read good things about them from those who did watch.
Be interesting if Mr Glasspool and Mr Hess-Olesen, his doubles partner, were to try the pro circuit together. A few of the US university pairings have done so, often to good effect.
I'm nowhere near as expert as most of the people on here, but I would have said that Mr Glasspool would be potentially equal to Mr Corrie's level in singles ... beyond that, who knows. There was, though, to my mind a difference between the level of his match and the level of the Hanfmann/Rubin match. Checking his ITF records (I'd never seen him play before), Hanfmann has in the past year won one of two futures tournaments that he entered, lost at Challenger/Tour level to Petzschner, Nils Langer, and Laaksonen, beaten Gastao Elias and Paul-Henri Matthieu, and taken ERV to three sets at Indian Wells qualies. Rubin is interesting - quite a different style of play to many US players, and Hanfmann was targeting his backhand ... but his speed is extraordinary.
Of course, Messrs Glasspool and Hess-Olesen beat Hanfmann and his partner Quiroz, in the doubles ....

Lloyd and Soren made the final, which was due to be played right about now as the singles finals have finished but it has been delayed due to a tornado warning in the area.
Hope everyone stays safe, and good luck to them if and when they play. Not sure if it is streamed since they had already moved inside due to the weather.
And they have won: 6-1 3-6 6-3. Quite remarkable! First GB champions since Mr Inglot in 2009 (with Mr Shabaz). A huge accomplishment.
Their predecessors in the past decade have included not only Mr Inglot, but also Robert Farah, Austin Krajicek, Messrs Buchanan and Rola, Kevin Anderson, John Isner, and Andreas Siljestrom. It bodes well for the future, should they wish to continue.
