I have been saying for several years that Marcus & Lewis are future GB Davis cup potential some people think it's an exaggeration but I honestly believe it !
They had to play futures first rack up some titles and build confidence they are now clearly ready for challengers and I don't think it be long before they could progress further .
Many of their potential higher ranked doubles opponents are less skilled and often play scratch eg G Elias . Although G Elias is ranked no132 singles his doubles record is unimpressive with a poor 26% win ratio so although I would certainly not underestimate Sean his guile and experience may not be enough if Burt's & Bomb can maintain their form .
I watched the whole match yesterday and felt with the right doubles coach they could sharpen what already is a tidy doubles partnership that could eventually compete in the GS and other major events .
i have a suitable training base and free accommodation /coaching available funded by the A1 pharmaceuticals tennis academy in bromley which is local to myself and Lewis /Sean Thornley /Matt short so with a stable of suitable players if they continue to represent A1 Pharmaceuticals in national competition
sean Thornley also lives in bromley as does our captain Matt short , and our top ITF ranked junior Lucas percy who is also focusing on a doubles career so I hope I can make that happen with Sean Thornley as our doubles Coach .
sean does does some coaching in the bromley area and so I have seen him in action he's impressed me so it be great to make that happen !

Certainly be interesting to watch Marcus and Lewis's progress in the next year. There are some very good signs.
I think some folk have had an issue on this forum about what I would call the players being "oversold", most certainly before the real evidence has accumulated. Clearly in business it pays to be forthright and out there and sell, sell, sell and overhype products if felt necessary and can be done convincingly. That tactic on a dedicated British tennis forum with many who watch and know their tennis can ( and has ) produced some contrary objective comment.
Be great if they could end an already good week by going all the way, and maybe be on the road to bringing some of us less believers more on board.
I wonder if Sean will throw his toys out of the pram like he did in the Manchester final if he loses - walked off on his own straight after the match without his partner and then at presentation, did the minimum necessary before leaving his partner alone again.
Phew. Thought I'd jinxed him. Turned on live stream at set point Liam who was 5-4* up and had Harrison at 30-40. He then lost 6 points in a row to go *5-5 0-40. But saving 5 BPs in that game, held on to lead 6-5*.
Really high level of tennis from both though, Ryan is looking like a cut above the field which is understandable if he is anywhere near his best, but Liam is giving him a great battle.
