RE: Week 42 - ITF ($10K) - Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt - Hard

Laura was a break down in the 2nd set but fought back to reach 6-5 40-15* but then the scoreboard froze.

Now moved on to *1-1 in the third but why there was a 15 min break on set point in the 2nd set is a mystery.

A Brit wins a match having won fewer points and games than their opponent - that makes a nice change

She has had the draw from dreamland - but still had to win 3 matches to get here and it's her first 10K singles SF as well

The Spanish girl, again lies in the way of another Brit challenger.
SF: Laura DEIGMAN (GBR) [8] 993 vs. (WC) Nuria PARRIZAS-DIAZ (ESP) [1] 333 (CH 289 06/2014)

Let us hope that the doubles SF is the only SF Laura loses this week!
SF: Deigman/Morgina (GBR/RUS) [2] lost to Bogoliy/Kharchenko (UKR/UKR) [3] 4-6 2-6

My thoughts exactly smile

She's probably playing no better than she has been over the last few months. But, with a very kind draw, she's managed to string together the results, which is an achievement in itself. And may well feed the cycle of success and mean that she now actually starts to play better . . .

She will do well if she wins 3 games in total.
