I never trust Tara to get over the line until she's so far the other side you could park a car in the space . . .

This time Tara can't save the break point

5-4*

Eep. Foretz has been holding much more comfortably in the past few games and putting Tara under heaps of pressure. Suddenly this looks like a tough prospect.

Again Tara finds herself two points away at 30-30, but the Frenchwoman levels and looks to be on her way to a great escape in this set.

*5-5

Now might be the time to remember that Tara has won one match since the end of May.

Oh dear - I have a funny feeling this match is going the same way of all but one of her matches since the end of May.

This isn't going to end well, is it.

As said about the car park space . . . was 5-3 but just wasn't big enough . . .

Summary of the story so far - Tara won the first 8 games and ended up 6-0 5-2* up but Foretz has won 6 games in a row since to go a break up in the decider. Er ...

Foretz takes her 6th game in a row with a quick break to 15, but Tara gets to deuce, and takes her third advantage

*1-1

L32: Tara Moore WR 293 lost to Stéphanie Foretz (FRA) WR 229 (CH 62 in 2003) by 0-6 7-5 6-4

Tara won 3 more points and 2 more games than Foretz (including, as mentioned above, the first 8 games) but closing out matches continues to be a big problem.

- seems the most appropriate summation.

Well, at least she made it close in the third.

Her inability to close out that match pretty much sums up her last 6 months. Too inconsistent when it really counts to go anywhere.
