RE: Week 42 - ITF ($15K) - Toowoomba, Australia Hard

I should never have doubted the Dunnster! biggrin

Well done both and good luck for the QFs. Looks like Katie may have a tough one but hopefully Katy won't have too many problems.

Precisely! Priesty's prognostication proves prescient

QF: Katie BOULTER (GBR) [5] 431 lost to Jessica MOORE (AUS) [4] 418 4-6 3-6
QF: Katy DUNNE (GBR) [2] 310 defeated Alison BAI (AUS) 628 7-5 6-1

SF: Katy DUNNE (GBR) [2] 310 vs. Jessica MOORE (AUS) [4] 418 (CH 132 10/2008)

Very good biggrin (the alliteration I mean). Inspired stuff.

Now let's see if Katy can go one better than Katie and defeat the dreaded Moore.

Katy lost the first set, 2 breaks to 1, 3-6

3-6 6-4 0-5

KD breaks for *1-5

holds 2-5*

bp. breaks *3-5

df no 8 makes it 15-15 15-40 lost 3-6

3-6 6-4 3-6

Plenty of breaks but not enough holds (6/14). Both Katie (35/72) and Katy (38/80) slightly under 50% for points won on serve against Jessica.

Phuket $15K next for the pair. Both would have made the main draw for $25K in Aus but chose two weeks in Thailand; hope they can pick up some more points before the end of the year. Katy is still defending quite a lot.

Shame. But it does sound like Katy fought very hard and I'm sure she probably couldn't have dunne any Moore.

(Sorry everyone, couldn't resist).
