One win from a great weekend, hopefully the next 18 months will see Liam and Khle push each other all the way t
into the top 150 so they can begin to reap the rewards on the court and off of an ATP tour professional. Who knows that may reinvigorate Oli as he undoubtedly has the junior success and pedigree to be there also. His definition of what is success as an adult may have changed so personally I won't be holding my breath, but good luck to him, he appears to have a number of strings to his bow which should bring plenty of opportunity. Hats off to Liam who has put in some really hard yards and ridden a pretty stormy journey to get to this point. A w tomorrow is a clear signal his ship is on course, keep it up, I for won have really enjoyed watching it sail this year!
Liam took the opening game but then lost the next 6. Lets hope the second set is a bit better.
The run stretched to 7 games lost in a row, but Liam appears to have stabilised matters at *2-3 second set. If he can just keep this set reasonably close for the next 3 games or so, I think we may have lift off. Liam has had a few back-to-the-wall victories in recent matches (against both Cox and Corrie I recall) so I'm not writing him off yet. But that first set was a spanking.
Well that's now 5-5 and 4 MPs saved to date. If I were the Bulgarian, I'd start getting worried now.......although Liam is struggling on every single service game.
Second set Liam on a TB (7-2). If I were the Bulgarian, I'd really start getting worried now......

Woo! Well Done Liam!! My internet cut out after the tiebreak so pleased to come back just as Liam has match point!. Haha.
Great fightback.
Also I think Steven mentioned it earlier for qualifying but there are also galleries for the Main Draw, Doubles and today's Finals (which I'm guessing will be updated as the day goes on) with some good action shots of our guys here: http://www.moodswingssite.com/

Fantastic result! How many times recently has Liam been down and out, yet fought back to win? Enough for it to be more than a coincidence.....it means his fitness is good, and that there's nothing wrong with his will to win, even when all seems lost.
I worry about his strength and physicality against the best, and although he has clearly added a little more power to his serve recently, I think he'd really benefit from another 5-10 mph on serve and 5-10% more penetration on his groundstrokes. And these ARE things that could realistically be achieved with targetted off- and on-court training in those areas. With more experience to cut out the occasional moment of madness on shot selection, he's definitely got a shot at top 100, and is almost certain to be a solid CH player at the very least.
Top 50 I think is VERY unlikely, given that he would probably have stood out much more by now, but top 100 is a more than decent target for now. Didn;t think I'd be saying these things about Liam in 2014, so well done him......
......he can finish off the year with 2 or 3 US CH tournaments with genuine confidence and can look forward to the Winter break a satisfied man, no matter how he does in the US....
Smashing result. Optimistic that there is more to come. Obviously worked really hard this year and agree with Korriban, that if he keeps up his present progress he will be able to add those 10-15% and become an elite tourin pro. ( Corriban do you think Peter Barlow will go down? Or haven't you been allowed to watch)
