L32: (1) Liam Broady WR 270 v (Q) Ryan Haviland (USA) WR 1844 (CH 516 in 2004, now 33yo) L32: (Q) Danny Manlow WR 1033 v (Q) Hans Hach (MEX) WR 872 (CH 860 last month) L32: (Q) Cameron Norrie WR 689 v Pavel Krainik (CAN) WR 672 (CH 624 last Dec) L32: (WC) Samm Butler WR 1429 v (8) Luís David Martínez (VEN) WR 460 (CH 390 in Feb)
The first three Brits above are all in the top quarter - in fact, their matches are the first three matches in the draw.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
The real under ranked threats are in the bottom half of the main draw as the number one seed will tell you. The ITF is definitely the place to develop if you want to be an elite tennis player. The likes of Mitchel Franks and Andrew Harris have almost played a whole summer season on the US futures/challengers circuit with a bit if US open qualifying thrown in, when the prize money doesn't cover board and lodging for 90% of the field one has to ask who are the professionals?? I almost love the NCAA as much as the ARA, but then guns saves lives.
Cameron was the first to close his out, beating a (marginally) higher ranked player very convincingly :
L32: (Q) Cameron Norrie WR 689 def. Pavel Krainik (CAN) WR 672 (CH 624 last Dec) 6-2 6-2
Liam looks like following suit - currently 4-1* in the second, having won the first 6-2
NB was very impressed with Cameron when I saw him on livestream, far more so than I expected to be ... (query why I didn't expect to be - no idea ????). Dropping out of NTC seems an inspired decision too. Do hope that college tennis suits him and he carries on a very tennis-oriented path - good hope for the future . ..
Cam has got huge potential and performances suggest playing at 250-350 level at stages. Whether he can maintain or improve his ranking whilst at college is another question.
