At least his Christian name isn't Dan or Josh.

You're right smile they're banned . . . Or maybe not banned but just have to undergo an automatic deed poll change to Albert, or Cornelius, or maybe Susan . . .

Must be pretty strong draw for Cam to have to qualify.

It's his second tournament back, but should have started university now.

Four wins out of five, and a good score even in the other (with a reasonably ranked guy), means a pretty good day's performance:

QR1:  Robin Goodman  WR 1968  def.   Gandhi BHAKTHAVACHALAM (USA) UNR  6-1  6-4

QR1:  Michael Ward   lost to  (q16) Vullnet Tashi (SUI) WR 1456  6-4  6-4

QR1:  (wc) Christopher Helliar WR 1727   def.   Mitchell Dobek (USA) UNR  6-1  6-4

QR1:  (q8) Danny Manlow WR 1037   def.   Daniel Etcheverry (CHI) WR 1849 (CH 1746 in July)  6-4  6-1

QR2:  (q1) Cameron Norrie (GBR) WR 691 v   Robin Goodman (GBR) WR 1968

QR2:  (wc) Christopher Helliar (GBR) WR 1727  v Ryan Haviland (USA) WR 1849 (CH 516 in 2004) age 33  (tricky draw)

Wiersholm is currently junior WR41 (with a JCH of 40 seven months ago), so somewhat under-ranked. I fear he may prove too much for Danny.

It's part of his uni schedule. This autumn TCU are also sending players to pro tournaments in Charlottesville, Knoxville, and Champaign.

Better still, his name's not James or Alex!

Cameron got the first set, 6-4, after a tight match up to 4-4, and now seems to be nicely in charge - 3-0 in the second
