This is actually a 25k.

Em draws fourth seed Cindy Burger. Not the best draw to try and break a run of losses, particulalrly given some of the other girls in this field, but she has been playing well. An outside shot at the upset I think.

Em held under pressure.

2-0*

Scores frozen after saving a break point and missing two advantages. Break point down.

*2-1

That was a set Em really should have won. Burger takes it 6-4.

Broken from game point up at *2-1 and *2-3, missed 15-40 at 2-4*.

Saved two set points at 3-5* only to go 0-40 down, save 2 more and then lose it on the fifth.

She's showing again she's quite comfortable competing with top 250 girls but she needs to be closing out these chances.

Tough road back now.

Em misses two break points

*0-3

That's probably that. Odd to see Em winning less than 50% behind her first serve.

Loses 64 62

Competitive but ultimately frustrating. Had her chances and really let the first set get away from her.

I admire her playing the biggest events she can get into, but she seems to be playing well enough to tear up 10ks, just not quite well enough to push through against the top 250 in these bigger ITFs and WTA qualies despite being very competitive throughout her run of (6 - gulp!) losses.

Already then, just Em's doubles and the girls in Sharm left this week, in all ladies competitions.
