Also, let us not forget that he had a three setter against Marcos Giron who has just beaten Bradley Klahn and I fancy MG will beat Nils Langer today. And anyone who wins back to back Futures events should have a crack at the next level. Thanks for pointing out his plans for the rest of the month. At least I'll have something to do in the evenings now! I'm sure his ranking improve if he can maintain his current level.
Liam's made huge strides in the last couple of months, and on current form, his level is definitely of challenger quality. As he gets stronger, gets more experience, builds on his high level of natural ability, there is only one trajection he has and that is of the UPWARDS variety.

I'd certainly agree that Liam is a challengerr level player in the sense that he has clearly progressed and at his best can compete at this level. As said, that is different from being likely to be still around come the weekend.
By the way, this appears to be Liam's first L16 loss in over a year, since Roehampton future last Sepetember. He had won 20 consecutive last 16 ties in 19 futures and the recent challenger. He certainly had a number of R1 exits in that time, but had become a king of the L16 ( I had been aware of this for a little while, but didn't want to jinx him by mentioning it ).
