RE: Week 41 - WTA International ($250K) - Osaka, Japan - Hard

up 4-2 in the second, so I'm happier. Interesting about her serve. I know she changed is ages back to make it more of a weapon, but that doesn't apply to her second it seems.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the dozen second serve break points she's missed have been attempts at huge return winners landing in the net or miles out.

Another 3 break points missed in that game, one saved with an ace

*4-3

Broken here and you fear the match goes.

A solid hold to 15 so she will at least get to serve for this set

5-3*

Game on! Classic Hev grit.
Anybodys guess for the decider. Through two sets, there's one point in it - in Hev's favour.
Let's go Heather!
3-6 6-4

Went *3-0 with another break, then exchanged breaks.
Heather is all over the Jaksic serve at the moment, winning ¾ of the Serbs service points.
3-6 6-4 *4-1

Awwww Yeah!
Like Hev of old - digging in for a 2½ hour marathon, and refusing to be beaten.
Turned it around well. Jaksic has made a tour final this year; despite the ranking, is streaky, & was dangerous.

It might be the poison princess, Putintseva, next. Could be entertaining.
With two streamed courts this year, we should get coverage I think.

Well done Heather. 3-6 6-4 6-2

Good with for Heather! Under normal circumstances, beating Jaksic would be seen as a relatively routine win for Hev, but on the back of 5 consecutive defeats ans a set down she has done really well to turn this match around.

Please she's broken the bad run.

Putintseva Y. or Ozaki R. (WC) next, this is a tight one on at the mo.
