I'll be happy if she gets to the QF neither mind who she might face there......
I see your point.
The seedings had Hev due to meet Stosur in 2012; but someone else won the SF, and stopped that match up from happening. For that someone, Kai-Chen Chiang, everything pretty much exploded and disintegrated in her tennis & personal life from that day thereafter. I was therefore very glad to see her in the qualies draw here again. Even though she lost that close match, to Rodionona, just for her to be back perhaps means she has found some stability - I hope this heralds the start of much better things for her again.
Meanwhile for the pairing of ladies who fought glandular fever, the doubles draw has not been especially kind R1: Heather WATSON/Christina MCHALE (GBR/USA) 254 vs. Lisa RAYMOND/Samantha STOSUR (USA/AUS) 84 [3]
Heather plays her singles match tonight/tomorrow morning - 2nd on Court 2 after 3am BST.
Heather's current 5 match losing streak is the longest in her career so no match is going to be easy, but Jaksic is probably one of the easier opponents she could have got. I would be nice for heather to get at least one win here to avoid ending the season on such a long run of defeats.
Heather's weak point seems to be her 2nd service, only winning 18%. She would be winning twice as many 2nd service points if she just repeated her 1st serve and accepted the increased number of DFs.
