I think Sharm is the furthest east Amanda has ever played a match.

I suspect that may be the case for a quite a few of our ladies at the moment.

Mandy has played a lot further south than some of our players, by virtue of her South American excursions

Yes, I couldn't be bothered to look it up, hence the "I think" (so thank you for checking! ) - I was going to say first time in Asia then realised she had played in Antalya, which is in the Asian part of Turkey, but Sharm is probably the furthest east she has played, as you say. Makes sense too given her surface preferences - I was quite surprised she didn't go for Monterrey 50K instead then realised that's on hard courts too!
