It looks like a good chance for some doubles W money along with a decent chance of winning the singles tournament. Aren't 15k+H's worth 35 points per W? Good value, if so.
Playing your doubles partner isn't easy, but Brydan should win. He has a 6-3 record and there are no seeds in the top half of the draw. Although he did lose the last time the two met in a semi in Australia earlier in the year.
Short term, these points should move Brydan up to about WR 257, and provisionally 6th in the GB list (depending on Liam's performance in the Challie this week)
But Brydan does have a big 29-pointer coming off in a couple of weeks. So, in a way, this tournament just covers those points, keeping him at 300 or so, and it's next week's points that will make the difference.
No doubt Brydan will play that challenger again and given the form he's in, i'd expect that ranking to be defended and approaching the low 200's by the end of the year.
