When the camera showed Andy's box she wasn't there. I think I read somewhere that she would be back with him in Europe, which I assume means she won't be in Shanghai either. Maybe had prior commitments.
Thanks Madeline.
The Independent simply says that Mauresmo is 'missing the Asian swing'

This really does make of mockery of the idea that Murray and Lendl split because the latter wouldn't commit enough time. Mauresmo seems to be around far less than Lendl was.
Once his serve is neutralised, Cilic is nowhere near the level of Murray. Djokovic is something else though. BabyFed (what a misnomer) looked abject against him today and apart from smacking a few forehands couldn't do anything that Djokovic didn't have an answer for.
I did think Shenzhen would be good for Andy, thinking about getting the matches in whatever some thought of his form, though clearly winning the title can't have done his confidence any harm.
Judy Murray was on TalkSport this morning saying it did take quite a time to get over the back surgery, but saying that indeed simply playing more matches was good for him now.

I did say last week that while I thought his form was poor all that really mattered was ending his title drought.
Drat, I was relying on Rafa to stop Berdych's gallop. Klizan will probably suffer from reaction after beating Nadal and Berdy will get at least final points, if he doesn't even win the whole thing.
Fancied Andy strongly to beat Cilic, not sure Cilic fluked the US open victory, but until he shows that form again I'm a non believer. Andy is getting his confidence back and will give Nole a decent match but it will be a little surprise if he does win.
I hope Andy takes a good crack at Nole tomorrow. Managed to see the match this morning and I was impressed by Andy's movement and depth, but most importantly it felt like he could've rallied all day, which will be key tomorrow.

I agree, I could get that she had to miss the first two weeks because of the late notice, but for the Masters!!??
