The latest I heard was that he was going to play Basel and then decide about Bercy and the WTF. He wants to fit the surgery in somewhere by the end of the year, and still be fit for the AO.

Berdych is looking home and dry, with a 330 point cushion. Andy is now 110 points ahead of Ferrer in 9th. Next week could be crucial should do the two meet again.

It would really be interesting for Andy to be out of the top 8 come the AO. If he spends the break wisely and comes back closer to his top form, he could provide a huge stumbling block for a few top players in the early stages. Of course, I'd rather he be top 8!
