I'd watched most of Lewis' match up to 3-3 in the third. Then rushed out and jumped on the bus. And was glued to the mobile. But the match wasn't on Bet365 and itf livescores never works on my mobile. So was hitting re-fresh time and time again on the forum page. Got Steven's first tweets, then Bob, 3-3 in the tiebreak, then 5-5 - then the bus went up a street where my connection cut out - frantic re-start when we came to the next street, pause, steven's tweet was there, but took ages to load - and then came up and Lewis had won - and I let out a big 'yes' !!!

Delighted to be partly responsible for you embarrassing yourself on a bus wink

We've all been there! (er, haven't we? )

luckily for me, there's quite a few harmless 'odd' people on the buses round here :)

Lewis and Ed have started, with Lewis completely over-doing the drop-shots (how many can you DO in three games ? Answer: an awful lot. Which Ed see coming a mile off)

2*-1 to Ed

At least it' fair i.e. they both had a really long, third-set TB match yesterday and the identical doubles (obviously!).

Ed won the 1st set 6-3, Lewis has won the 2nd set 6-4. Ed 2-0 up in the 3rd set.

Former top 100 player and last weeks Swedish futures winner Jurgen Zopp is through to play the winner in the semi, so that looks like a tough one.

The combination of a very nice start from Ed - physical, solid - and a pretty ropey start from Zopp - unforced errors, double faults - means Ed breaks twice and leads 3*-0

Well, you could have blinked and missed that set :)

6-0 to Ed

Zopp played better from 0-3 down, but not good enough . . .

At 1-2 down, Zopp played a few points of spectacular (and slightly flukey?) tennis, to gain a few break points - and Ed was excellent in getting good serves in and hitting a super FH winner - really took the wind out of Zopp's sails, who was just beginning to get a bit of hope .. .

well, that was a wonderfully one-sided match - really well played by Ed

6-0 6-4 (and Ed was well in control of the second, despite the score being closer).
