From 3-3 at the changeover, Jack won the next 3 points and so has 3 MPs ...

Great fight back from Jack in that 2nd set. At *2-5 0-40, a deciding set looked on the cards.

Well done to Jack for stopping the rot today . . . although maybe the bar was raised rather high, following yesterday's 'Wonderful Wednesday' :)

Bonzi had a really disappointing national championships, and not brilliant results, but he's at INSEP - the other NTC equivalent place - along with Tatlot, Halys, Hamou etc. - and been one of their top juniors.

Scott and Richard seem to be using up all their 'get out of jail free' cards - but are on a roll :

They win their doubles QF 3-6 6-0 10-7

.... & they play the pesky Japs, rather than the top seeds, in the semi-final:

SF:  Hiroyasu Ehara & Katsuki Nagao (JPN/JPN) CR 1760 (886+874) vs Scott Clayton & Richard Gabb CR 1181 (654+527)

Jack has started, and after a mammoth first game he broke, then after another long service game on his serve, he duly broke again! Great fight.

*4-0

Jack took the first set by 6-0, but the score's been stuck on 2-1* 15-15 for ages now!

Other matches are still ticking over and his has now disappeared, so I'm guessing it's a livescores glitch. Hopefully he won ages ago!

Yes, hopefully he's showered, done his stretching, had lunch and is now happily watching Gabb and Clayton cruise (so far) in their doubles semi:

Gabb/Clayton lead 4*-1

Those pesky Japs are swatted aside by Scott & Richard.   Well, sort of:  they were broken while serving for the match at 5-3 in the second! wink

SF:  Scott Clayton & Richard Gabb CR 1181 (654+527) defeated Hiroyasu Ehara & Katsuki Nagao (JPN/JPN) CR 1760 (886+874) by 1 & 4
