Colin won the first set 6-1, lost the second set 6-3 and then retired. hmm

Meanwhile, in the doubles, Jamie D makes a welcome reappearance in harness with Gilles M.  I was beginning to wonder what had become of him:

R1:  (1) Jean-Julien Rojer & Horia Tecau (NED/ROU) CR 38 (21+17) vs Colin Fleming & Robert Lindstedt (SWE) CR 78 (62+16)
R1:  Jamie Delgado & Gilles Müller (LUX) vs (4) Mariusz Fyrstenberg & Max Mirnyi (POL/BLR) CR 76 (43+33)

Lousy draw for both pairs, but at least Colin's picked a decent partner, who should know Tecau's game quite well, while Jamie & Gilles will be taking on what I think is a scratch pairing.

I'm willing to guess this might be Jamie's last ever appearance on the main ATP tour.

 

Shame Colin & Robert missed out on a seeding by two ranking places and then drew the top seeds.
