i saw on live score that Michelle had won her match and assumed it was a R2 match but it was actually a R1 match. So it looks as if Jo won't get a chance for revenge this time round.

It's a compliment to Peter too; I just presumed he was correct, because he always has been!

Anyway, I've seen Whoriskey play precisely once, about 4 years ago in the final of a $25K doubles; she wasn't great that day.
I suspect the result is probably due to MLDB having one of her occasional stinkers more than Whoriskey playing exceptionally.

A good, and quieter, draw for Johanna now - must... temper... excitement & expectations.
