Misses a break point and goes out 75 62. I despair at her ranking, she's so much better than 250+
Hopefully the shoulder gets fully healed and she has complete confidence in it soon. A few glimpses of what she's capable of today, second set was probably closer than the first.
Agree with Peter too, and PaulM. She was far better than I'd feared she might be considering her recent run, and is very obviously capable of competing at this level.
But, we've always known that. Finding those last pieces of the puzzle though... well, that's another matter.
Perhaps the NTC shake up will be a good thing for her.
She does sometimes seem to have settled in to quite a comfy/cozy set up. A bit of enforced hardship and struggle might just underline to Tara, once again, just how much she wants this. Character building they used to call it.
We're not particularly adept at polishing our rough diamonds in GB tennis, are we?
Only caught the second half of the final set, but the serve was inconsistent and the groundstrokes were inconsistent and Tara is totally devoid of confidence.
Still- at least we have the youngsters to look forward to as the top ranked players aren't cutting the mustard at the moment.
Despite the move inside, they have admirably managed to provide a rudimentary live stream; in what seems to be an inflatable aircraft hangar/echo chamber.
Given the angle and fixed position, I'm not sure how useful it will be, but the link is the same as before
