I'm quite looking forward to following Mr. Gosea's career. Decent shot at the 8th seed in the second round.

I do agree, will be interesting to see what he can do.   Has he left college?  At this rate, it won't take him long to break into the top 500 - currently played a handful of ranking tournaments.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but who is funding him?  LTA?

Someone said that he's just entering his final year in college. So, presumably, in that case he won't play many tournaments in the year to come. Just in the holidays ? Or those near his campus ?

I'm 99% sure the LTA's not funding him.

However, I agree that he's had an encouraging start and it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here. Top 500 seems well possible, and quite quickly too.

Always curious to have a few players, too, who haven't followed a completely conventional route . ..

Yes, CD, I believe I found myself in the same left field when discussing prospects for Bob's top 500 recently.

Farris was 5-1 up in the final set and then got broken twice. Farris was 5-4 up and then the scores disappeared. Did he break and win?
