Many of the players in last week's Cyprus Grade 3 have stayed on, though this tournament has been downgraded from a G3 last year (when Jasmine Asghar reached the final)

Our 1998 boys are beginning to make an impact. Two of them will contest the final here, and if Alexis wins his 10th match in a row he will move to around 200, while Jay would be within striking distance of 200 if he wins.

Is Alexis still being coached by Josh G ? Or was that just a summer thing for the National championships ?
Presumably Josh wouldn't/can't travel with him even if he is still coaching him because he's still working at the girls' school ?
Anyway, glad to see him doing well and that, presumably, it was successful with Josh and, hopefully, that that success will carry on feeding through (Alexis on a 14-match winning streak . . .)
Josh tweeted today about his first week back coaching at Downe House, so isn't with Alexis this week. However he tweeted yesterday about Alexis getting into the final with his 14th straight win (that includes the Nationals U16) so he is clearly in close touch. In his blog Josh mentions that Alexis also works with former players Tom Burn and David Brewer.
Make that 10/15.....
