No GB entries have made main draw or qualifying at Shrewbury, mainly due to our girls(JoKo, Naomi, Katie B) playing in USA

All in all a very bare entry list at the moment.

A reasonable number of our girls have now made it into qualifying at Shrewsbury - Harriet, Manisha, Eden, Dasha, Fran, Jazzamay, Lauren and Jess S.

Katie B, Emily and Lucy Brown officially withdrew yesterday, Gabi the day before.

Updated - they weren't showing last night.

I'm sure Katy(if she doesn't make main draw), Charlotte, Eden and Izzy will get wildcards. Naomi would probably get a QWC

Izzy has withdrawn - presumably the ankle injury from US open juniors. Katy will not make main draw without a wildcard. Cav should get another wildcard. I don't see many qualifiers out of the remainder and I don't see many making round two of the main draw.

Shame that Dino didn't fancy sticking around in Turkey.

Wildcards for Shrewsbury go to Katy, Eden, Fran and Naomi - poor old Charlotte, who probably deserves one, only gets a QWC

Milts and Klein are quite a long way down the alts list, so will probably have to play qualifying (Milts won't make it if he wins his semi final tomorrow)

I do agree that it is a little odd that Dino is not staying in Turkey. This is a fairly big challenger with sensible points.  I wonder if he is eyeing qualies in China or KL instead?

Klein looks like he is currently 8th alt for Turkey

It doesn't look like any Brits are playing Izmir, unless James uses his SE. Someone about Brydan on entry list is playing qualis.

According to the Moselle Open tournament directors, Murray claims that he would have happily played this week to stand in for Stan Wawrinka if Stan had given a little more notice that he was withdrawing.

(Frankly, it seems a little unfair on Stan as he's just played a singles and doubles in the Davis Cup, and the Moselle lot are absolutely spitting and completely over the top in their 'extreme anger and disappointment' and claiming that several other top players say the same - they cite Murray, Cilic, Fognini, Berdych, Ferrer et Gulbis as having been contacted and having said they would have played if they'd know).

Took me a while to understand what CD meant. Thought Jamie Murray was getting ideas above his station again.

If I am understanding the situation correctly, they think they should have had more notice - Stan must have known he was very unlikely to play there straight after the DC matches.
