Izzy seems to be a very up and down player judging by her junior results.
This week seems to be a good week. Just needs to get that consistency and that big swinging lefty is a big weapon.
Another good junior with potential to climb the senior rankings quickly.
The future looks good for ladies tennis.
LTA don't forget 10/15ks for the girls at the start of the year and 25k onwards by mid year. By that stage you could have Naomi, Tara, Sam, Jade, EWS, Katy, Katie, Izzy, Eleanor, Cav and one or two others ready to play at that level.
That looks like 8 juniors in the GB top 25 post the US Open.
Now if next year we can have a much cleaner bill of health among the more established players and the youngsters continue to develop there really will be depth in GB women's tennis such as there has not been in a long time.
Could be a really interesting next couple of years or so watching how they all develop.
I know she does but she did play for Australia for a while (though I realise you may not have been saying she didn't, just providing info )
There was an article in the local paper Press and Journal Aberdeen based paper. Izzy's parents put her to Austraila because there was no funding from the LTA I think they thought that she would get better coaching there. I know the money issue was a strong reason why she played in Australia. I am unsure but she may have had relatives there. However she definitely is Scottish her dad has a business in Inverness.
She played Junior FedCup for Australia together with another British born girl Naiktha Bains.
