yes, given it was difficult to be sure if alize was actually injured, or feigning it to gain an advantage, my best wishes to her - as long as she is actually retiring

Probably retiring as wins are hard to come by these days. She has just ended a run of 8 successive defeats. She does have the record of playing in 68 Grand Slam singles tournaments in a row. She also reached her peak singles ranking back in February 2009 when just 19. She also beat Serena at Wimbledon 2014 when Serena was still winning Grand Slams.
OK, just me, and I wish her well, but I am SO glad to see the back of her - whiny, moany, entitled, and don't like her tennis
She was a drama queen.
I actually found it soo bad at times it was quite amusing. I will kinda miss her.
I saw her in Birmingham, right fusspot, towel from one ballboy and balls from the other. If the towel guy wasn't ready she just dropped it, gasps from audience. I had a front row seat and saw clearly. She completely refused to take a ball from the towel guy.
Camila Giorgi has announced her retirement. A regular in British grass court tournaments over the years reaching the semi finals of the last 3 Eastbournes and her most successful Grand Slam being a quarter final at Wimbledon 2018.
To be honest, I never really paid much attention to Cornet playing, amusing to see the comments! Giorgi I wont miss but again dont know her. Obviously had a career outside tennis , but didnt she run into scandal around Covid documents?

Remember watching her at Eastbourne last year, lovely grass court player. Never really fulfilled the promise IMO.

I think her Dad/Coach held her back, could have been a star.
