Not quite as quick this time, but Harriet despatches Cadar again
QF: Harriet Dart WR 796 beat (1) Elena-Teodora Cadar (ROU) WR 366 (CH 363 last month) by 6-2 3-6 6-2
Elena-Teodora has beaten Katy Dunne twice in the past year and is 1-1 against Katie Boulter. There must be something about Harriet's game that Cadar finds hard to cope with.

Harriet has also beaten Katy this year and I'd say there probably isn't much between Katie Katy and Harriet. Said it for a while now but these 3 will almost certainly be top 100 within the next 3 years and be up there with Laura and Heather.
I know you have, Jaggy, and I have disagreed and still do. But it is interesting ( for most folk ! ) to see different speculation, predictions :)
These girls, may, hopefully will be, top 100 in the rankings within the next three years, but I wouldn't anticipate being near the top echelons of that top 100, yet competing with Heather and Laura.
Be nice if I am wrong, by way of at least one of them being markedly higher than I currently think rather than Heather and / or Laura being lower.
Of the three, Katie on age / timeline is currently furthest ahead, but Katy and Harriet are both showing pleasing maturing signs, so I wouldn't like to predict their ultimate order. If she keeps fit and well, Eleanor Dean comes into the mix as well.
Eleanor certainly is well up there in the mix if she stays fit, above all others because she seems to be a serial tournament winner. I would put Katy and Katie as top 100 players at some point in the future.........they didn't exactly rip up the Juniors circuit but were solidly in the mix. Both are competing well in seniors but again not destroying the opposition as top 50 players of the future do relatively often.
I see Heather as a top 50 fixture now for the next 3 years, maybe a top 25 fixture if all keeps progressing - I think she WILL. Laura has top 10 potential but I fear there is a risk she will have retired in 3 years time, given that it will be harder work to realise her true potential in tennis than to take up alternative, potentially lucrative and high profile media opportunities instead. I can't take her seriously sometimes - it's almost like kids who have been told they are talented their whole lives, which often creates strange unintended behaviours in those same kids when others who work hard start catching up
Not sure about Harriet. Once again she seems like a solid professional , rather than a WTA tour regular. A Jo Konta type outcome might be a good result for her......bouncing around top 100 mark.
At least there are a few candidates here for a top 100 discussion.......who amongst the boys and young men except Kyle are we having these discussions about?
I now see more prospect of getting 20 women in the top 500 before we ever get 20 guys and we got so close to 20 guya last year, but unless it happens within the next year, the years after look more fallow.
The men's top 25 is increasingly looking like it may begin to resemble the women's of late, a reasonably strong top 10 to 12, but lacking depth.
Of course, we are a very long way from 20 women in the top 500, even 15, and it would require a lot of players to fulfil much of their potential. I just put it out there as maybe having more chance than the men.
