FQR: (alt) James Ward WR 150 v (q9) Paul-Henri Mathieu (FRA) WR 87 (CH 12 in 2008)
H2H 0-1 - PHM won 2 & 3 in Indian Wells earlier this year - in other words, it's the same opponent as James played the last time he reached a Masters final qualifying round!

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Wardy seems to have had a period of being up for it for some time and a real threat to the 40-100 guys, if he can start putting a few of them away, top 100 perhaps not a pipe dream. Realistically if he can stay fit he has another couple of years hard at it. Really loving following his efforts this year, Mathieu has to be seen as an opportunity. Go for it wardy
Could be a breakthrough for Wardy, certainly playing like a 80-150 ranked player lately as opposed to 150-250 standard. Maybe it's finally clicking, 27, new coach, a few big prize cheques this year motivation etc etc...

I hope so, he's got so much potential as we've seen in DC. It would be great if he realised it.
As long as he stays injury free, he should break the top 100. Twice in the past he has been good enough and got close enough, both times he has got injured.
