My "source" told me that his knee was still an issue.
Yes I couldn't go into detail, but I know for a fact it has been a long term issue, which certainly needs to be addressed before Evo makes further progress.
Regarding Wardy and whether PHM was not fit, it's probably partially true in that he would have been rusty at the very least. However whichever way you look at it, it's still a major scalp.

Yes, there might be a grain of truth, at best, but no more. As said, PHM was only out for a month - it's hardly that long - and he's a seasoned, experienced player - I think James beat him fair and square
Absolute load of tosh, take nothing away from James, you can only beat what's on the other side of the net and PHM is more than experienced enough to know you can't compete at that level without being at your very best.
Nothing wrong in at least discussing how fit the other player may have been. Folk spend plenty time on here discussing the Brits in such a way, "Oh, Joe Bloggs would probably have won that if he was fully over his injury.." or whatever.
And yes, James still did the business, so well done him.
GGL's recent form has been very poor, he has won very few matches since Roland Garros (where he knocked out Stani and reached round of 16). He has lost 6 matches and won only 2, his most recent loss being to Malek Jaziri (wr 103) in straight sets in Toronto. Further more, most of his tennis during this period has been on his favoured clay. His two wins were against the world no. 140 and 243. I'd love to watch this match, but I don't think it'd be televised and I don't have Sky anyway....
Come James, you can do it!

Jamie & John have snuck in as alternates for Llodra (problem with his left elbow, apparently) & Mahut - & it could have been a worse first-round draw for them!
R1: Robert Lindstedt & Marcin Matkowski (SWE/POL) CR 63 (18+45) vs (ALT) Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 59 (29+30)
