Naomi wins the first set 6-4.

Emily will get Irena Pavlovic in the next round (about WR 190 or so at the moment)

Naomi really needs a couple of wins to get rid of that rustiness since Wimbledon and get some momentum for US Open qualifiers.

Nothing to defend until end Oct, so no reason why she cannot push towards top 100.

Emily is back on court in the doubles, this time against Nicola. However Nicola appears to have changed nationality, she is now Japanese. hmm

Landisville's not showing on the ITF live scoreboard whenever I launch it, so I can't comment, but Nicola certainly appears as a Brit on the ITF's doubles draw sheet.

I think it's legit, Nik said on twitter that she changed nationality to get away from all the endless politics surrounding the Scottish Independence vote, strange choice of country but kudos to her for making a stand.
