Well, there's the 1st of your 4 wins Paulisi, GSM Eden
There are 2 all GB ties, so guaranteed 3.
I had Katie B as one winner and then a surprise from one of the others - thanks Eden. I'd be quite happy if there are more than 4.
I've not had a chance to see Eden play, but her recent performances suggest she can climb much higher - she pushed Katie B in a final earlier in the year. Top 500? She is only young so has a chance to improve even more.
Yes, Eden seems to have had a real lightbulb moment this year (the Em WS doubles title ???).
And as someone said previously (Helen ? Madeline ?), she's been trying the adult tour for 'so long' that it's easy to forget she's so young. And has so much time in front of her. And that improvements keep happening . . .
I was going for 5 or 6 wins . . . here's hoping for Jaggy's 7
Emily serving at 4-3 up second set
Freya has a break in the second set
Katie B won the first set 6-4
Fran lost the first set 6-4, but is a break up in the second. These two always seem to play 3 setters.
In the next round, Eden will get either (a) Miyazaki, the young japanese girl who lives in the UK and trains at Sutton or (b) alicia Barnett, the British US college player who seems on good form.
I think Alicia has a good chance in this match for an upset - hoping for an all-Brit round two.
Katie B had the most amazing long first game in teh second set which, finally, she won and seemed to take the wind out of the other girl's sails because Katie then reeled off the next 5 and won to love.
Anpother tweet from David Lester (the 'chap' Phil referred to above): "rain looking set to stay for a while so we're moving to the inside courts. Play to resume in appx 20-30 mins (I think).

Freya did it !!
Trains out of Nottingham, has had eye catching results there as well. Have heard her being compared to Lana Rush, which I thought was a little harsh, be interesting to see how she develops.
