RE: Week 32 - ITF ($10K) - Nottingham, GB - Hard

The bottom half looks loaded with Katie B playing the winner of Freya's match. Quite a few Japanese entries in the draw.

I reckon we will only get 4 through to the next round - tough draws.

Eden looks like creating an upset. 4-1 up in the final set.

Beth served for the set twice, but got broken twice and then lost the tie break 7-5

Eden went 5-1 up then lost the next 3 games and is now break point down as she serves for the match a second time

She saves the break point though and now has a match point

The match point got saved too but now she has another one ... and takes it

L32: Eden Silva WR 876 beat (7) Alison Bai (AUS) WR 549 (CH 397 in 2011) by 6-3 2-6 6-4

I think that's her 2nd best ever ranking scalp

There are 2 all GB ties, so guaranteed 3.

I had Katie B as one winner and then a surprise from one of the others - thanks Eden. I'd be quite happy if there are more than 4.

I've not had a chance to see Eden play, but her recent performances suggest she can climb much higher - she pushed Katie B in a final earlier in the year. Top 500? She is only young so has a chance to improve even more.
