Horrible. She tightened completely against lucic and smitkova but got away with it, but you can't against a top player. Needs to get these nerves sorted quickly. If she's tight here it will be ten times worse in New York.

Really feel for her what an opportunity given up.

I agree with you to a point but also feel that Cibulkova was playing relatively poorly and then, with nothing to lose, played a lot looser and better when down in the second.

And has now looked a little tighter too, now that it's all to play for again.

Yes. Fortunately she was down 15-40 so had something to fight against.

And I don't know if I am serious or not....

Cibulková led 3-1 (perhaps even 3-0, not sure) but Hev has won 3 or 4 points in a row to lead *4-3 ... but now Domi gets the latest mini-break back with a challenged call.

Yes!! Quite a rollercoaster, but all's well that ends well - Hev matches her career best ranking scalp!

L32: (Q) Heather Watson WR 57 beat (10) Dominika Cibulková (SVK) WR 12 (CH 10 in 2014) by 6-2 6-7(3) 7-6(5)

L16: (Q) Heather Watson WR 57 v (8) Viktoria Azarenka (BLR) WR 11 (CH 1 in 2012)

H2H 0-3 and Heather is yet to win more than 2 games in a match against her

Headcase Heather. Love it.

Nigel was spot on. Ahe had to trust in herself and believe her game was good enough. When ahe got nervous she didn't do those things. When she relaxed she did an it was so good. Please believe heather. This match could have been done in an hour, buy maybe how it turned out will be the better result in the long run.
