It is. Ridiculously so. Lousy draw for Mr Huey and Mr Inglot - not really what you need when you're defending SF points, though they may have more of a chance in this tournament (which is, de facto, a "home" tournament for them) than they might elsewhere. But if they get past Peya and Soares, they get either Rojer/Tecau or Benneteau and Llodra. Mr Murray and Mr Peers got about the best 1st R draw one could hope for. After the 1st R there are no good draws!

The q2s, Erlich & Ram (Rajeev, not Andy!) triumphed in the doubles qualies, so (with today's rankings - Jamie & John both dropped six places hmm ):

R1:  (Q) Jonathan Erlich & Rajeev Ram (ISR/USA) CR 172 (85+87) vs Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 65 (32+33)

Copil & Stakhovsky obligingly removed the q1s, the"bloody Poles", who appear to have resumed their playing partnership, in straight sets in QR1.

For the record, the rankings of the players involved in the other R1 match remained unchanged in today's list.

At least it looks as though the match was quite competitive...
