Very sorry indeed that Mr Marray lost (though it wasn't a bad run for a new pairing ... and so close!) ... but if he has to go out, I'd rather it be to Nieminen (who has always seemed one of the nicest players on the tour) and Kontinen than to most.

And the flying Finns went on to take the title, beating Bracciali & Golubev in the final by 1 & 4.
I still think just finding a partner from anywhere that they are comfortable playing with will be much the main priority.
Yes, all things being nearly equal, probably best to have all Brit partnership. But tennis is about very much more than the Olympics, plus Rio no doubt being on clay will problably also lessen its focus a bit for the Brits.
I would guess pretty much as is, and dealing with potential Olympic ( and Davis Cup ) partnerships much closer to the event.
Sorry, Indiana - I should have been clearer. I was referring to the Finns ... where I rather suspect that the hope of a good Davis Cup and potential Rio pairing may lead Nieminen and Kontinen to play together more when opportunities arise. Wouldn't be surprised if the same were true in some other country contexts as well. Of course, as the Qureshi/Bopanna (Paes/Bhupathi) debacle demonstrated, splitting up a successful partnership for the sake of Olympic hopes is not really a good idea!
