Grrr, the Other Half called for me when the Edmund/Rice score was 4-4 and by the time I got back it was all over.  Well done, Kyle.smile

Steven, am I right in saying Bryden gets 5 points for qualifying?

If so, thats a decent haul so far this week

Yes, he does. And if that's a subtle reminder that I forgot to put them on the T25 table, then thanks

So, 8 points for Kyle so far this week, 13 for Brydan.

Brydan and Kyle were the two I expected to get through from the draw, but it's a shame that Marcus drifted off in the second set. Two tough second round matches now but hopefully at least one of the guys can come through and take some QF points.

From earlier, if it wasn;t posted:

R1: Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 452 (230+222) def. Alex Llompart & Dean O'Brien (PUR/RSA) CR 533 (232+301) 6-4 6-4

So, with Brydan as well, that's a clean sweep in the doubles . . .

Good to see Burts and Willis back together and winning at challenger level.

Home after a long day. Decent effort from Marcus. Sounds like he played great other than his serve in the 2nd. Pity about Dan Cox but as Phil mentioned, the travelling may have taken its toll.

Do today's results mean Kyle is now up to GB Nº4 ?

Yep - gone past Dan Cox and closing in on top 200

Has a chance of catching Evo soon as well given all the points he has to defend

Yes, Kyle up to at least 227 points ( hint, Steven :) ) next Monday while Dan Cox will be on 219 points.

Kyle himself has 35 points to defend in August and 20 in September (if my calculations are correct) although after that he has none for the rest of the year so on current form the top 200 by the year's end is definitely looking doable. Just hope he can stay healthy.
