What with blinkin' storms, my internet connection cut out about 20 times in that second set. But brilliant from what I did see. And if my provider could kindly guarantee some nice uninterrupted electronics for the semi, that'd be very nice !
That will be a difficult one for me! Do I support Kyle or hope that Ricardas wins! The Missus is Lithuanian and since watching Berankis at Wimbledon last year follows his every move!

That was quite simply majestic. When that forehand is firing I think anybody would be scared of it. His backhand is coming along nicely too, and the touch volley at 30-0 in the last game was unreal! He's going to be some boy.
Rankings wise, Kyle will leapfrog Dan S into 5th place in the GB table. A win over Berankis in the semis, would see him overtake Dan C as well.
Have my suspicions, he may now pull out of Segovia next week. This is the 3rd week in a row where he has played and in two of those weeks, he has gone deep. Add that to the travelling and a rest next week may be the order of the day.
Kyle is 3rd match on tomorrow with play starting at the usual 6am UK time. Looks like the "schedulers" have taken pity on us and given him later starts.
Yep, that'll do nicely, 1st serve was just ******, this has now got to be his best ever tournament. Confidence sky high, and we now know he plays even better in gale force winds ;)
His rankings rise will also remove any doubt about being inside the cut off for the US Open qualies. So decision time is coming - unless of course that decision is already taken.
Maybe worth adding (although I am sure nearly everyone knows this already) that if you missed it, you can watch a playback of the entire match (minus game 1 for some reason) on the ATP link.
